Life (being sick)

Sorry for the lack of posts lately but since getting back I have being sick and not up to posting I think I am finally winning now but still not 100%,

I recently purchased an iPad and so far I love it so easy to use and so fast I will post a full review in the next few weeks once I have had a chance to use it a bit more and test it.

We are now in august and it is hard to know where the yes has gone in only a few short months Christmas will be here again and that is scary don’t get me wrong I love Christmas but It is such a busy time of year at work and lots of personal things happening at the same time.

My newest web project web building 101 is getting closer and closer to being finished and ready for everyone to check out I will post a link in the next few days.

I will be posting a few more photos from my trip on flickr this afternoon for anyone who wants to check them out.

For Noe that is it I will try and make a longer post on the weekend .

Update On Life

Daily Life

First thing sorry about this being my first post in nearly 2 months.

Life has being very busy with work and doing a lot of overtime, and a trip up to Sydney for the weekend to go to the AFA Sydney get together and catch up with some friends, Also went to Port Macquarie for the day, Was a great weekend but came home so tired.

Went and checked out Shrek Forever after and cinemas the other week,

The movie was better than I expected, My main complaint was it took to long to get into the movie kind of a fast overview of the first 3 movies which I don’t believe was really needed.

Holiday Plans

Also being busy organizing my trip over to the US where I am visiting Washington DC and Los Angles (Disneyland) I will be away about 12 days I leave for the trip on Wednesday. Very exciting.

I will try and make a couple of Blog entries while I am away if I can get access to the computer.

Tech Update

When I get back from US and I am planning on purchasing an iPad and new Mackbook laptop and also looking a getting  iPhone 4 in a couple of months once they are available in Australia.

Web Projects

Still working away on a few on my web sites have a bit more work to do before it will go live, However I will keep everyone updated as things progress,

In Project news I have now updated my Blog to run on WordPress 3.0 have not noticed many major changes yet however am hoping to have a bit of look through over the next couple of days and will try and get a reivew up before I leave to go overseas on Wednesday.

Today

Today I am off to see Toy Story 3 in the movies with Kat.

I will post a short review of the movie later today or tomorow.

I am sure there is plenty more I could write, but I have to run and get organsied to head out soon,  So until next time hope every one is well.

May, Cool Weather, Busy Days

Wow it is now May, The weather is getting Cooler (YAY Cold Weather) and hours of daylight is getting less. These are all good things except when life keeps getting busier.

Over the last couple of weeks at work I have being increasing my hours slowly in preparation for when a co worker leaves so I can take over there job as well of mine which should be ok but after only doing so few hours (15 hours a week) for the last year it is a bit of a shock to the system when I started to increase hours as of the end of next week I will be working 24 – 30 hours a week which is nearly double what I am doing at the moment.

As well work life has being busy my Dog (maggie) had hip surgery about 6 weeks ago and as a result of this she has required physio (YES dog Physio) which seems to be helping she is getting more and more movement back and is starting to use the leg more and more often both of which are great signs.

Tonight I managed to Kill my blackberry (507 Error) for those who don’t know basically I killed the operating system on the phone and has to reset the phone and reinstall the operating system to get it working again.  The Good News is it is now working again, and has most of the data and information back on it a couple of application which have not being reinstalled yet but I will do that over the next few days,

I took this change to update to version 5.0 of the Blackberry OS and my first impressions are good it seems to be overall a bit quicker time will tell if it is as reliable and easy to use, I will give further feedback over the coming weeks.

In my spare time (What Little I have had) I have being working on a few projects which will start to come online in the next few weeks once I have had added the finishing touches,

Over a third of the year has now gone and in another 2 months we will be half way through the year this is exciting as I have the month of July off Work on Annual Leave at this stage am hoping t go away over to the US and Canada, Will have to wait and see if finances allow this in the next week or 2.

I might leave this post for now and get organized for tomorow as I need to leave home at 7am in the morning to get to work for 8am.

Update Update Update

Well it has being a while since an update, Life has being very busy, I will write a more detailed update in the near future.

I know I keep promising to update this Blog more often but life just keeps getting busier and busier I am hoping things will settle down in the near future.

I have now set up Mobile Blogging so will hopefully be posting more often while I am out about about, Will wait and see how this works out though.

Web Projects

Well my time the last 2 weeks has being consumed by Work and different web projects I am working on,

The first Web Project I have being working on an online forum for a charity I am working with, This project has being a particular challenge as the site needs to meet very strict accessibility guidelines and be highly customizable by the users who log in.

The Second project is an online guide to making a web site for beginners, This site is going to be based around weekly entries exploring different topics.

The Third project is my Easy Web Site Accessibility Blog, I have being busy writing different articles to post none of them have being posted yet as they are with my editor getting checked and any changes being made.

The Fourth project is a online charity portal which is going to contain information on different charities kind of like a directory.

I will post links to the different web site as times goes and sites are out of testing stage.

Update Update Update

Well I thought I should update my blog again, I know I promise to update more often but I just dont get the time anymore or when I do have the time the last thing I want to do is spend time on the computer.

Went and checked out Cop Out at the movies the other it is one strange strange movie but very good at the same time you can check out the trailer below:

Other than that life has being going along pretty standard nothing really exciting to report, Being trying to finalise a charity drive I have being involved in, Which should be done wihtin the next week.

Other than that no real plans for the weekend at this stage just going to wait and see what happens.

Life Goes On

Well it has being a while since I have posted  Not sure what has happened just have not had a chance to post lately, I thought I would make up for it by making a larger post tonight.

Work is going along as normal nothing really special to report, had a couple of meetings lately that have resulted in some extra work for me but that is ok, I have got all of July this year off on Annual Leave which I am looking forward I am hoping I will get away to Canada and US for the month but will have to wait and see how these plans work out over the coming weeks.

Went and checked out Alice in Wonderland at the movies the other day, I have embedded movie trailer below for anyone who is interested

I would highly recommend the movie it is certainly no kids movie any more but definetly a good movie very well done.

Also being to see Shutter island lately not as big as fan of this one but still a good movie with unexpected twist at the end. Once again I have embedded a trailer below for anyone interested.

Weekend in Review

Well the weekend has come and gone, It has being fairly quite which has being nice, went out for lunch yesterday with James, then today have not done much, being to the doctor as I had a allergic reaction to something still no idea what but that is something I don’t think I will ever know.

Today have being working on some of my web projects added a couple of new articles to my http://easywebsiteaccessibility.com/ web site which I have being meaning to do for ages, hopefully will add few more over the coming week, at least 1 more will be added on Monday 8th, February 2010.

Also starting to looking at different marketing options for the site as once I have a bit more content up I really want to start pushing site and getting traffic up, at the moment I am one of the few visitors to the site, It is now listed in Google which is a great start, might run an adwords campaign and start posting more to other sites and try link sharing if anyone interested let me know.

Computer Troubles, Life, and more.

Sorry fir the lack of posting lately being have computers troubles so have not being able to post, all is sorted out now YAY, Hopefully will be back to posting more often from now.Who would have guessed both my laptops could have died at the same.

Life has being going by pretty quickly, Nothing really special to report, Will try and write a more extensive update in the next few days don’t have the time to write one at the moment as I am going to head out in a minute.

iPad I want one, I think all though nothing super special it is a very cool device and with a few good apps could become very popular and I myself will be trying to get one as soon as they come out.What are your thoughts of the iPad leave a comment on this post or add to forum thread.
